Brazil door-to-door, built around compliance

A workable Brazil route starts with the local importer, Siscomex authorization, NCM classification, federal and state taxes, licensing and final delivery conditions—not a vague promise of tax-included shipping.

IMPORTANT

“Brazil DDP” is a common market phrase. It does not mean every foreign seller or every product can complete a Brazilian import in the same way. The importer, declaration model and tax responsibility must be defined for each shipment.

LANDED COST LOGIC

Brazilian landed cost is more than one import tax.

Depending on the classification and import structure, cost may include import duty, federal taxes, state tax, customs-system fees, maritime charges and local handling. Brazil's tax transition makes current, shipment-specific review essential.

BRAZIL FAQ

Brazil route questions

01Is Brazil DDP the same as USA DDP?

No. Brazil has different importer authorization, customs systems, NCM classification, tax and state-level requirements. The label DDP cannot replace a written import structure.

02Does the Brazilian consignee need import authorization?

Formal commercial imports generally require a qualified Brazilian entity and representation in the customs systems. Eligibility and any exemption depend on the shipment and must be checked before booking.

03Why is NCM or detailed product information required?

NCM affects duty, tax and possible licensing. If the final code is not yet known, provide composition, use, brand, specifications and product photos for preliminary screening.

04Can an all-in price be guaranteed without adjustment?

Only after confirming the product, importer model, tax basis and operational scope. Inspection, reclassification, storage or regulatory action should be treated separately in the written terms.

05Which ports and airports are commonly used?

Routing may involve Santos, Paranaguá, Itajaí/Navegantes or other ports, and major air gateways such as São Paulo/Guarulhos. The best option depends on cargo, carrier service and final state.
